The Pentek WPX-BB Series is an economical, high-performance sediment cartridge designed to reduce fine sediment - including rust, sand, and scale particles - across a wide range of water and industrial fluid applications. Manufactured from fibrillated polypropylene wound in a precise pattern around a rigid polypropylene core, the WPX-BB offers greater surface area to maintain high flow rates while providing reliable, cost-effective sediment reduction.
Unlike the standard WP-BB Series, the WPX-BB is manufactured without any anti-static agent, making it the recommended choice when foaming during cartridge startup is a concern. This fibrillated construction is particularly suited to applications where minimizing extractables and fiber migration matters.
The WPX-BB is suitable for a wide range of sediment applications using municipal or well water, and its chemical and bacteria resistance makes it compatible with many industrial fluids beyond drinking water. Available in Big Blue 4.5" diameter, in both 10" and 20" lengths, with nominal micron ratings ranging from 5 to 100 microns depending on application needs.
