The Pentek S1 Series offers economical, general-purpose sediment filtration built from pleated cellulose media. The media is pleated around a polypropylene core for added strength, with pleated endcaps immersed in thermo-setting vinyl plastisol (standard sizes) or molded polypropylene endcaps with gaskets (Big Blue sizes). A sonically welded overlap seam reduces bypass and improves filtration efficiency throughout the cartridge's service life.
Rated at a nominal 20 microns, S1 Series cartridges are designed for general water filtration purposes and are recommended for use with chlorinated municipal water supplies. Their pleated design maximizes dirt-holding capacity while keeping the cartridges economically priced, making them a practical choice for households and light-duty applications that need reliable, no-frills sediment reduction.
