The Pentek RFFE Series provides an easy, chemical-free method of reducing dissolved iron from your home's water supply, significantly improving taste and helping eliminate the orange and brown stains often found in sinks, toilets, tubs, and other plumbing fixtures. Both cartridges in the series use a radial flow design that channels water through the full iron-reduction media bed, effectively reducing up to 3 PPM of dissolved iron while adding no harmful chemicals — making them safe for drinking water applications.
Beyond taste and staining, reducing dissolved iron also protects pipes and water heaters from long-term damage, extending the life of your home's plumbing and water-using appliances. The RFFE10-BB and RFFE20-BB should be installed on the main cold water line after the pressure tank or water meter, and for best results, Pentair recommends pairing either cartridge with pre-sediment filtration and post-carbon treatment (commonly an RFC-BB or RFC20-BB carbon cartridge) as part of a complete whole house system.
