The Pentek NCP Series is constructed from a carbon-impregnated non-cellulose media, delivering sediment filtration alongside taste, odor, and chlorine taste and odor reduction in a single cartridge. Unlike traditional cellulose cartridges, NCP Series media is resistant to bacterial attack, making it suitable for both municipal (chlorinated) and non-chlorinated well water applications.
Each cartridge's pleated design provides significantly more surface area than standard wound cartridges, delivering high dirt-loading capacity while maintaining minimal pressure drop. This combination of pleated polyester media and carbon filtration produces an outstanding cartridge with extended service life compared to conventional carbon or sediment-only filters.
