The Pentek GAC Series effectively reduces unwanted tastes and odors, including chlorine taste and odor, from your drinking water using granular activated carbon (GAC) media. Each cartridge is engineered to allow maximum contact between water and carbon, ensuring optimal adsorption throughout the filter's service life.
The construction directs water in one end and through the entire length of the carbon bed before exiting the other end, while an internal expansion pad minimizes channeling and bypass. Before water exits the cartridge, a post-filter permanently fastened to a support basket helps reduce carbon fines and other suspended particles from the filtered water — eliminating any potential for bypass.
Available in a wide range of sizes and flow rates, from a compact 4.88" cartridge up to a full 20" Big Blue format, the GAC Series scales from point-of-use drinking water filtration to whole house treatment. The GAC-10 and GAC-20BB models are tested and certified by NSF International to NSF/ANSI Standard 42 for material requirements. Select the model below that matches your housing size.
