The Pentek EP Series is a line of bonded PAC (powdered activated carbon) block filter cartridges engineered for a nominal 5-micron filtration rating with high dirt-holding capacity. A high-porosity design helps prevent the cartridge from plugging before its adsorption capacity is exhausted, maximizing carbon utilization while maintaining low pressure drop — delivering highly effective bad taste and odor, and chlorine taste and odor reduction throughout the cartridge's service life.
Each EP Series cartridge is protected by a uniquely formulated polyolefin bilaminate pre-filter layer that traps sediment before it can plug the carbon block, significantly extending useful cartridge life compared to unprotected carbon block designs. This makes the EP Series a reliable choice across residential, food service, commercial, and industrial applications.
Available in standard and Big Blue formats from 9.75" up to 30" in length, the EP Series scales from point-of-use under-sink systems to full whole house filtration.
