The Pentek DFX Series "Diamond Flow" is a premium dual-purpose filter cartridge that merges several Pentair core filtration technologies into a single cartridge. It combines the effective chlorine taste & odor reduction of traditional Pentek carbon blocks with superior sediment reduction, resisting the premature plugging that limits standard carbon block cartridges.

The unique cartridge design offers up to 2x the resistance to particulate plugging compared to standard carbon blocks, while maintaining a high dirt-holding capacity and low pressure drop. This makes the DFX Series well-suited for a wide range of residential applications where both sediment and chlorine taste/odor are ongoing concerns - eliminating the need for separate sediment and carbon cartridges.

The DFX Series fits all standard 10" or 20" housings (depending on size selected) and can replace any comparable carbon filter cartridge. It's NSF International tested and certified to NSF/ANSI Standard 42 for material requirements.
