The Pentek CFB-Plus Series is an enhanced version of Pentair's standard CFB cartridges, offering even greater chlorine taste and odor reduction along with the highest sediment reduction found in a carbon cartridge. These modified molded blocks are built using Pentek's proprietary Fibredyne technology, which attaches powdered activated carbon onto a cellulose-free synthetic fiber matrix — combining the benefits of a sediment filter and a carbon block in a single cartridge.
Fibredyne's carbon block technology delivers up to two times the chlorine taste and odor reduction and dirt-holding capacity of traditional carbon blocks, while a unique post-filtration layer fused to the carbon/fiber media blend prevents carbon fines from releasing into the effluent stream. This makes the CFB-Plus Series an ideal choice for a wide range of residential, food service, commercial, and industrial applications requiring premium taste, odor, and sediment reduction.
Available from a compact 9.75" cartridge up to a full 20" Big Blue format, the CFB-Plus Series scales from point-of-use under-sink systems to whole house filtration. All CFB-Plus models are tested and certified by NSF International to NSF/ANSI Standard 42 for material requirements. Select the model below that matches your housing size.
