The Pentek CBR2-10R (Item #155403-43) delivers the same advanced multi-media filtration as the standard CBR2-10, with one key addition: a built-in flow restrictor rated at 0.6 GPM. This controlled flow rate maximizes contact time between water and the powdered activated carbon (PAC) media, enhancing reduction of chlorine taste and odor, lead, mercury, VOCs, and cysts such as Cryptosporidium and Giardia.

Like its counterpart, the CBR2-10R is protected by a polyolefin bilaminate prefilter that traps sediment before it can plug the carbon block, extending cartridge life well beyond standard carbon filters. Rated at 0.5 microns nominal, it delivers premium chlorine taste and odor reduction exceeding 20,000 gallons at its regulated 0.6 GPM flow rate.

The integrated flow restrictor makes the CBR2-10R especially well-suited for undersink and point-of-use systems where consistent, controlled flow is needed to maximize contaminant reduction. It's tested and certified by NSF International to NSF/ANSI Standard 42 for material requirements.
