The Pentek CBC Series delivers fine 0.5-micron carbon block filtration engineered for premium, high-capacity reduction of bad taste and odor, chlorine taste and odor, and other contaminants from potable drinking water. Built from bonded PAC (powdered activated carbon) media, CBC Series cartridges offer enhanced dirt-holding capacity, making them well-suited as both standalone taste-and-odor filters and as polishing pre-filters ahead of finer downstream treatment stages.
Available across a wide range of sizes — from a compact 4.88" cartridge up to a full 20" Big Blue format — the CBC Series scales from point-of-use applications to whole house and light commercial systems requiring high-capacity chlorine reduction. The largest model, CBC20-BB, delivers up to 150,000 gallons of chlorine taste and odor reduction capacity, making it a strong choice for high-flow, high-volume applications.
CBC Series cartridges are an ideal choice for residential, food service, commercial, and industrial applications. The CBC-10, CBC-20, CBC-BB, and CBC20-BB models are tested and certified by NSF International to NSF/ANSI Standard 42 for material requirements.
