This granular activated carbon (GAC) replacement cartridge uses a radial flow design, directing water through the full depth of the carbon bed to maximize contact time and effectively reduce chlorine taste and odor along with sediment down to 25 microns.

Built for whole house heavy duty (Big Blue) filter housings, the TO8's radial flow construction significantly reduces the release of carbon fines commonly associated with standard GAC-style cartridges, so you get the filtration benefits of granular carbon without the black carbon dust sometimes seen after installation. Its non-cellulose GAC media works well with both chlorinated city water and non-chlorinated well water supplies.

With a 40,000-gallon capacity, the TO8 provides extended cartridge life for whole house applications. It pairs best with Pentair OmniFilter BF7, BF9C, BF35, and BF36C heavy duty systems, and fits standard 10" x 4.5" housings from other major manufacturers as well. Replace approximately every 3 months, or sooner if you notice a drop in water pressure or filtered water quality.
