The pleated media design is wrapped around a polypropylene core for added strength, providing more than four square feet of filtration surface area — significantly more than standard non-pleated cartridges. This translates to greater dirt-holding capacity, sustained water flow, and less frequent filter changes. The RS6's molded endcap with gaskets and sonically welded overlap seam further reduce internal bypass, improving overall filtration efficiency.
