The pleated cellulose media is wrapped around a rigid polypropylene core for added strength, with a sonically welded overlap seam that reduces bypass and improves filtration efficiency. This pleated design provides significantly more filtration surface area than non-pleated cartridges, resulting in greater dirt-holding capacity and sustained water flow over the cartridge's service life.

Sized at 10" x 2.5" for standard whole house filter housings, the RS1 pairs best with Pentair OmniFilter U24, U25, U30, OB1, and WH5 systems, while also fitting other major-brand 10" x 2.5" housings. Rated for a 15,000-gallon capacity at 5 GPM, it's designed for use with chlorinated municipal water supplies and should be replaced approximately every 3 months, or sooner if you notice a drop in water pressure.
