Toray Tmh Series Ultra-Low-Pressure RO Membranes – 4" & 8" (TMH10A, TMH20A-400C, TMH20A-440C)
Toray TMH series ultra-low-pressure (ULP) reverse osmosis membrane elements deliver high permeate output at reduced operating pressure, lowering pump energy demand without sacrificing water quality. Every TMH element achieves 99.3% stabilized salt rejection, making the series a reliable choice for commercial RO systems, light industrial pretreatment, and tap or low-TDS brackish water applications. Available in 4" and 8" sizes, including a high-area 8" version for maximum output per pressure vessel.
Key features:
• Ultra-low-pressure design reduces energy consumption and pumping costs
• High 99.3% stabilized salt rejection across all models
• Polyamide thin-film composite membrane chemistry
• Fits standard 4040 and 8040 pressure vessels
• Genuine Toray membranes, manufactured in Japan
Available versions:
• TMH10A – 4" x 40" – 2,400 GPD (9.1 m³/d) – 99.3% rejection – 34-mil feed spacer
• TMH20A-400C – 8" x 40" – 11,000 GPD (41.6 m³/d) – 99.3% rejection – 400 ft² – 34-mil feed spacer
• TMH20A-440C – 8" x 40" – 12,100 GPD (45.7 m³/d) – 99.3% rejection – 440 ft² – 28-mil feed spacer
Choosing an 8" model:
The TMH20A-400C uses a 34-mil feed spacer for better fouling tolerance and easier cleaning, ideal for municipal or variable-quality feed water. The TMH20A-440C uses a 28-mil spacer to fit 440 ft² of membrane area, delivering about 10% more flow on well-pretreated feed water.
